Bob Smith

I trust you have enjoyed looking around my web pages and found them easy to use and informative, if you found any problems then please let me know and I will consider making corrections. All the web pages and software are produced by myself. I do have a technical background in computing and radio as well as being a keen sailor.

The passion for sailing goes back to when I was a teenager.
I have sailed thousands of miles around the Eastern Mediterranean, Caribbean, round the British and French shoreline and several RORC races including the Fastnet 1997 & 2001 race.

I spend around 100 days a year sailing my own yacht called 'Sea Dream' logging around 900 miles per year.

I have held an RYA yachtmaster certificate since 1997 and an RYA qualified instructor since 1998.

Before becoming a full time instructor, I worked for 25 years in the professional communications and radar industry for - Thorn EMI, Plessey, GEC and Siemens.

I look very much forward to meeting you on a YachtCom course or sailing around the Solent or somewhere on the high seas.
